The Stadium Tour
from: ultimateclassicrock.com
By Ultimate Classic Rock
The Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison and JOAN JETT tour will now begin in June, after six more dates have been announced in addition to the previously confirmed 22.
While the first stop on the Stadium Tour was originally supposed to be in Miami on July 7, the new start date is June 23 in Kansas City, Mo., with the last of the latest additions taking place on July 3 in Cleveland.
Motley Crue confirmed their reunion earlier this month after they blew up the 2014 Cessation of Touring Agreement that had committed them to ending their road career after a farewell tour.
"They knew that if they were ever to stand onstage together again, that contract would have to be destroyed," an accompanying video stated. "Well, destruction has never been an issue for Motley Crue."
The band's manager, Allen Kovac, recently said the success of The Dirt movie and the fact that the film shifted the average age of Crue's fan base down to the 18-45 category was a contributing factor in their return.
Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott said he never believed Motley Crue would stick to their word. "I told Nikki [Sixx] that when he signed it, 'You guys are just Bowie, Sinatra, Cher, all rolled into one,'" he recalled. "It's theater. And those guys are theatrical. Contracts are there to be torn up. That's what they are. People break them all the time in sports. Why can't you break one in music?"
In another interview, Poison singer Bret Michaels said did what he could to encourage the reunion. "I always try to throw what I call gratitude and a positive attitude out there," he explained. "So I kept throwing the good vibes out there. I said, 'It would be insane for the fans if we had Def Leppard and Poison, and then if Motley Crue would pull it back together, that would be incredible.'

By Dino-Ray Ramos
The Netflix original series Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts from DreamWorks Animation has unveiled their voice cast for the forthcoming coming-of-age animated series which includes Karen Fukuhara, Deon Cole, Coy Stewart, Sydney Mikayla and Dee Bradley Baker. The series will also feature an all-star roster of guest stars including Sterling K. Brown, Dan Stevens, Lea Delaria, JOAN JETT, John Hodgman, GZA and more. Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts will premiere on the streaming platform January 14.
Here's the logline of the series: "After spending her entire life living in an underground burrow, a curious young girl named Kipo (Fukuhara) is thrust into an adventure on the surface of a fantastical post-apocalyptic Earth. She joins a ragtag group of survivors as they embark on a journey through a vibrant wonderland where everything trying to kill them is downright adorable."
Mikayla (General Hospital) will lend her voice as "Wolf," a weapon-wielding survivor who knows the ins and outs of the surface; Stewart (The Blacklist) plays happy-go-lucky "Benson;" Deon Cole (black-ish) will voice "Dave," a talking insect who has the jarring ability to suddenly age a full life cycle without warning; and Baker (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) will step into the role of the adorable mutant pig "Mandu".
Brown will play Kipo's father "Lio Oak" and Dan Stevens (Legion) will play the power-hungry "Scarlemagne. The rest of the guest performers includes Lea Delaria (Orange is the New Black) as Timbercat "Molly Yarnchopper;" JOAN JETT as rocker snake "Camille;" and John Hodgman and GZA (Wu Tang Clan) as the cosmically-curious wolves.
Jake Green (The Boss Baby: Back in Business), Grey Griffin (DC Super Hero Girls), Ian Harding (Pretty Little Liars), Rhea Butcher (Take My Wife), Betsy Sodaro (DreamWorks All Hail King Julien: Exiled), Taylor Louderman (Mean Girls), Michael-Leon Wooley (DreamWorks The Adventures of Puss in Boots), Matt Lowe (DreamWorks Trolls: The Beat Goes On!) and Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) are also featured.
The series is created and executive produced by Radford Sechrist (How to Train Your Dragon 2) and executive produced and developed for television by Bill Wolkoff (The Man Who Fell To Earth).
JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS To Open For MOTLEY CRUE, DEF LEPPARD And POISON On 2020 Tour
from: blabbermouth.net
By blabbermouth.net
JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS will serve as the opening act for MOTLEY CRUE, DEF LEPPARD and POISON on their upcoming North American stadium tour.
According to 97 Rock Online, Jett will perform with the three hard rock acts at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington on September 2, 2020. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m.
DEF LEPPARD and MOTLEY CRUE are co-headlining the tour, with DEF LEPPARD closing the show at T-Mobile. "It is up to the bands' discretion as to who closes in what city," a post on the 97 Rock Online web site reads. "DEF LEPPARD is tabbed to close the Seattle gig."
MOTLEY CRUE, DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS will also reportedly perform on June 13, 2020 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with another date reportedly set for the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The full routing for the tour will be announced today.
Two weeks ago, MOTLEY CRUE announced that it was coming out of retirement, nearly four years after playing what was billed as the band's final concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
CRUE fans who shelled out for the band's 2014/2015 "farewell" tour were led to believe that the group would never return after completing the trek. The band touted the signing of a pre-tour "cessation of touring" agreement as cementing the fact it truly was the end of CRUE's life on the road.
