They've still got it! Rock royalty JOAN JETT and Stevie Nicks show their iconic style on the red carpet at Sound City premiere
They are two of the most iconic women in rock.
So it was quite the clash of the titans when JOAN JETT and Stevie Nicks walked the red carpet in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The dynamic duo battled it out at the premiere of Foo Fighters star Dave Grohl's new documentary Sound City.
I Love Rock And Roll favourite Joan, 54, just about edged it thanks her more youthful looks, while her leather jacket, jeans and trainer combo also had a more trendy edge.
But Rhiannon star Stevie, 64, was certainly not disgraced in her all black ensemble, which showed off her slender physique.
Another aging beauty at the event was Daryl Hannah, the 52-year-old making quite the Splash due to her evergreen looks.
A smattering of rock and roll royalty showed up for the event, with all of the Foo Fighters and No Doubt star Tony Kamal among the big names.
Sound City is about the popular recording studio of that name, which is now defunct, in the San Fernando Valley of California.
Albums produced there include Fleetwood Mac's self-titled 1975 album, their smash hit Rumours two years later, Mr Springfield's Working Class Dog in 1981, and Nirvana's seminal grunge record Nevermind in 1991.
The Darkness and JOAN JETT to perform one NZ show
British band The Darkness and legendary rock goddess JOAN JETT are heading to New Zealand to perform a concert later this year.
The double-bill night of rock is set to take place on April 9 at Auckland's Logan Campbell Centre.
Tickets go on sale on February 7 at 9am through Ticketmaster.
JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS announce Australia tour
MUSIC icons JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS will tour Australia in April with retro UK rockers The Darkness.
The co-headline tour will see tickets capped at $99 plus booking fee.
Jett and her band, best known for the 1981 hit I Love Rock & Roll, broke a 15-year drought with a Down Under visit in 2010.
That tour saw the BLACKHEARTS headline the Falls Festivals in Victoria and Tasmania and Sunset Sounds in Brisbane.
Jett won a new legion of fans when Twilight star Kristen Stewart portrayed her in The RUNAWAYS, based on the all-girl punk band she founded at age 15.
The Darkness' Australian tour last year was a sellout event, a precursor to their comeback album Hot Cakes.
The 2013 tour will visit Adelaide Entertainment Centre on April 2, Hisense Arena in Melbourne on April 4, Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on April 5 and Brisbane's Riverstage on April 6.
Tickets on sale February 11.
Tuesday 2 April - Entertainment Centre, Adelaide SA
Thursday 4 April - The Riverstage, Brisbane QLD
Friday 5 April - Hordern Pavilion, Sydney NSW
Saturday 6 April - Hisense Arena, Melbourne VIC

JOAN JETT and The Darkness Team Up For Australian Tour
Two of world's must fun rock bands, The Darkness and JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS, are teaming up for an Australian tour. The shows promise plenty of big choruses and rock and roll attitude. The two bands have honed their road skills as unlikely supports for Lady Gaga, and hopefully she'll put in a special guest appearance or two.
