It's been over 20 years since Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, a disease which is known the cause severe tremors.
That didn't stop him from taking the stage with rock legend JOAN JETT at The Michael J. Fox Foundation's annual gala, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's, in New York City.
A yearly star studded event, the gala raises millions of dollars in the quest to cure Parkinson's disease.
Michael, 57, looked dapper on the red carpet in a tailored suit and a blue and red striped silk tie.
The actor smiled alongside his wife of 30 years Tracy, 58, who glowed in a two-piece ensemble with a long black tulle skirt and a black and white embroidered floral sleeveless top.
And, the hosts of the evening got a ton of support during the night from their brood of beautiful children.
Twins Schuyler Fox and Aquinnah Fox, 23, Sam Fox, 29, and Esme Fox, 17, were dressed to impress as they sandwiched their parents on the red carpet before the soiree.
The Spin City star was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's disease in 1991.
Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disorder causing tremors and, when the disease has matured, the loss of motor skills.
Michael told People Magazine in August that following his diagnosis he turned to drinking which put a strain on his marriage.
It wasn't until 1998 when the iconic 80s actor would reveal his diagnosis to he public and The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research was created two years later.
A swanky gala is held every year to raise money to find a cure and boasts a lavish affair, performances and celebrity guests.
The 2017 gala raised over $5 million dollars.
The actor got support this year from his Back to the Future costar Christopher Llyod, 80.
Doc and Marty McFly smiled together for a few photos at the event, 33 years after their hit film franchise first premiered.
Rock star JOAN JETT took the stage at the gala alongside Michael and the two jammed out together on electric guitars.
The New York Times has called the Teen Wolf star's foundation 'the most credible voice on Parkinson's research in the world.'
It is the largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's drug development in the world, through their work, Michael said he believes that within the next five years, doctors will be able to predict a diagnosis.
