It's About Time These Haircuts Came Back In Style

Haircuts are like clothes. There are classic styles that remain popular regardless of the decade such as bobs. There are super trendy styles that barely last a year yet alone a ten and then there are those perfectly good styles that get forgotten about but are definitely worth trying out again. The mullet has been trying to make a comeback at every fashion week. It has yet to gain wide popularity but these other haircuts deserve to be as popular again as they once were.
These are the vintage haircuts you should consider trying when you're bored with your lob:
1. Joan Collins' Thick Bangs And Voluminous Hair, 1969
If you have long hair, all it takes it a few tweaks to get Joan Collins' cut. It's like Zooey Deschanel's hairstyle with a bit more curl. Just add a few face framing layers and a set of thick bangs. When you style your hair, remember to add some volume at the crown.
2. Audrey Hepburn's Asymmetrical Bangs, 1955
Audrey Hepburn's short, choppy bangs might have gone out of fashion because people were worried that they would look like their bangs were a DIY trim disaster rather than an intentional cut. However, if you style your bangs and don't hide them under a hat, it'll be a cute slightly quirky look.
3. Cher's Long Bangs, 1968
Cher has had a lot of different looks but her long layers and bangs from the late 1960′s and early 1970′s is a look that we can all wear, unlike most of those sheer bodysuits. Even if you have short hair, consider adding these bangs to your look.

Mia Farrow's iconic pixie cut by Vidal Sassoon is often cited as one of the best haircuts of all time. However, it's a haircut that only some people are brave enough to try. Pixie cuts had a brief rise in popularity a few years back but it's time we make super short styles poular again for everyone.

The lob is the haircut of the moment so JOAN JETT's shaggy style would be a natural progression. Just add a few wispy bangs and some face-framing layers and you have an entirely new look.

Elizabeth Taylor's side-parted style is a great compromise if you don't want to chop your hair off into a pixie but want to try something different that your bob. It gets your hair off your face and could easily be adapted for different hair textures.
