GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Perennial rockers, a pet expo, and a pageant are all lined up for the weekend's Top 5 list. Add in a cottage and lakefront expo and symphony performance and you should have enough to fill the holes in your social calendar.

Heart and JOAN JETT
Van Andel Arena, 130 W. Fulton St., hosts a classic rock combo of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame acts with Heart and special guest JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS set to perform Saturday, March 28, at 8 p.m.
Heart, founded by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, is known for '70s hits including "Barracuda" and "Magic Man," as well as its '80s singles "What About Love," "Who Will You Run To" and others. "Fanatic" is Heart's most recent album, released in 2012.
JOAN JETT topped the charts in the '80s with hits including "I Love Rock 'n' Roll," "Crimson and Clover," "Bad Reputation" and "I Hate Myself for Loving You." She released her 13th studio record, "Unvarnished," in 2013.
Tickets for the show are $20-$75 at Van Andel Arena and DeVos Place box offices, Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com or 800â€745â€3000.
West Michigan Pet Expo
West Michigan Pet Expo at DeltaPlex Arena, 2500 Turner Ave. NW in Walker, returns with two days of furry fun for animal lovers on Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29.
The event includes entertainment, educational seminars, and dozens of vendors.
This year’s entertainment features Tony Hoard and his K-9 Crew along with Grant Kemmerer’s Wild World of Animals showcase of exotic animals. Pony rides and a petting zoo also will be available.
Hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children (ages 5-12); kids 4 and younger are free. More at deltaplex.com. A full schedule of events can be found at westmichiganstar.com.
Mrs. Michigan America Pageant
The current Mrs. Michigan America title holder, Rebecca Scholten, of Manchester, will pass on her crown to this year's pageant winner at the state's official preliminary to the Mrs. America Pageant this weekend. Held in Grandville High School's Auditorium, 4700 Canal Ave. SW, at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 28, the pageant is similar to others you may have seen with one major exception, all of the contestants must be married.
An interview, swimsuit competition, evening gown competition, and on-stage question will determine the winner to represent Michigan in the Mrs. America Pageant in August.
A People's Choice award will be given to the contestant who receives the most votes from those in attendance making donations to the American Cancer Society.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 and $25 for adults, $15 and $20 for children 12 and younger available depending on seat location. Tickets are available at the door or pre-order at mrsmichiganamerica.com
Cottage & Lakefront Living Show
It's not too early to put your toes in the sand. Come to DeVos Place this weekend for the Cottage and Lakefront Living Show, Friday through Sunday, March 27-29.
The expo offers practically everything a cottage owner could need or want to maintain or improve their lifestyle including architects and designers; lakefront builders; cedar and log home builders; boats, docks, and lifts; interior design and cottage-style furnishings; landscapers; home improvement and more. Those looking to buy or rent cottages will find information as well.
A lakefront marketplace, boat building demonstrations, and a cottage fine art show are featured alongside professional sand sculptors Janet and Kirk Schrader in the 1,200-square-foot "Monroe Street Beach."

Grand Rapids Symphony: Mozart and Tchaikovsky
Acclaimed pianist Joyce Yang joins the Grand Rapids Symphony to perform Mozart's beloved Piano Concerto No. 21 in a program led by guest conductor James Meena. The concert, held on Friday and Saturday, March 27-28, at 8 p.m. will feature works from three composers: Barber, Mozart and Tchaikovsky.
The young Korean-born pianist has performed with the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, BBC Philharmonic and others on stages including the Lincoln Center and Metropolitan Museum, the Kennedy Center, and Zurich's Tonhalle.
