JOAN JETT, Kenny Wayne Shepherd top lineup for Detroit International River Days

Rockers JOAN JETT, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Dickey Betts will lead the music action at the inaugural Detroit International River Days, organizers announced today.
Those performers are among nearly 70 local and national acts lined up to perform on three stages at the event, which runs June 22 through 27 to celebrate the opening of the newest portion of Detroit’s riverfront promenade.
Also billed on the EDS main stage are R&B acts Angie Stone and the Ohio Players, along with Detroit regulars such as the Twistin’ Tarantulas and the Orbitsuns.
Local music will dominate the Sprint Stage, including headlining sets by Rev. Right Time and Nadir.
The free festival, produced by the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy and presented by General Motors, will wrap up the evening of June 27 with Detroit and Windsor’s annual fireworks display.
