2007 International CES Draws Multi-Platinum Artists and Sports Legends

LAS VEGAS-(Business Wire)-January 5, 2007 - Legendary musicians, actors and sports icons will all come together at the 2007 International CES(R) to experience the hottest products and technologies in the consumer electronics industry. The 2007 International CES, the world's largest technology tradeshow, returns to Las Vegas, NV, January 8-11, to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
Multi-platinum 3 Doors Down will perform twice for CES audiences on Tuesday, January 9, once from 2-2:30 p.m. and again from 3-3:30 p.m. in the Grand Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center, on the ESPN stage. CEA partnered with this iconic rock band this year to promote the "Great Audio Experience" campaign. The campaign educates consumers on various price and performance options of audio equipment and encourages them to seek demonstrations from local retailers. Sports enthusiasts will want to check out Haier America in Central Hall, booth #14438. Haier America will have a different NBA legend visit each day, January 8-10. On the opening day of the show, Four Time League Scoring Champion George Gervin, "The Iceman," will be on hand from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and again from 2-4 p.m. Then, on Tuesday, perennial All-Star and 1992 Olympic Dream Team member Clyde "The Glide" Drexler will make an appearance 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m., followed by "The Human Highlight Film" Dominique Wilkens, on Wednesday, January 10 from 11 a.m-1 p.m. and 2-4 p.m.
For more on the sports side, on Monday, January 8, ESPN Commentator Dr. Jerry Punch will be at the ESPN stage from 2-3 p.m. and Kyle Busch, NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Driver #5 will be representing Delphi in the North Hall, Booth #5206 from 3-5 p.m. Also making appearances from the race track will be Memphis Car Audio Drivers Tanner Foust and Stephan Papadakis. They will both be in the North Hall, booth #4014 all day, every show day, supporting Memphis Car Audio.
The Humanoid Robot ASIMO is scheduled to be on hand at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 8 at Honda Booth #4006 in the North Hall to show-off its latest technology, Gene Simmons of KISS will make a quick appearance at the Coby Electronics Booth in Central Hall, Booth #14444 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, and model Teresa Noreen, will be representing PowerBass USA, from 10 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. January 8-10 in the North Hall, Booth #3733. Monster Cable is also hosting a concert at 8:45 p.m. at the Venetian, on Tuesday, January 9 where the timeless and ever-popular artists George Benson and Al Jarreau will be performing.
Gibson Guitar will rock CES all week with a long list of talent expected at their Booth, CP-1. Gibson will have surprise celebrity appearances throughout the show starting on Monday, January 8, but on Tuesday, January 9 the performers from Cirque de Soleil "LOVE" will be there from 2-3 p.m., followed by Happy Hour with Sweet Juice performing from 4-5 p.m. Jeff "Skunk" Baxter will be signing autographs at 4:15. At 5:15 Latin Superstar Arthur Hanlon takes the stage, and the day will end with a concert from JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS. Wednesday is also packed with superstars at the Gibson booth. Billy Bob Thornton is expected to make an appearance, and the legendary Brian Wilson will perform from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
