Joan Jett, one of the key members of the now legendary all female rock group The Runaways in the late seventies, embarked on a solo career in 1979 writing and recording her first solo recordings that year.
Joan Jett was one of the first to prove women could rock. In the past 16 years, Joan has emerged as a rock 'n' roll star, one of the truest rockers there is, beyond age, era or gender.
Mercury Records and Blackheart Records are proud to present for the first time ever in the United States, a Joan Jett career retrospective. The release spans Joan's entire career from "Bad Reputation" (1980) until her 1996 single "Love Is All Around" (theme song from The Mary Tyler Moore Show).
FIT TO BE TIED...is newly digitally remastered and contains all of Joan's biggest Top 40 hits, including "I Love Rock 'n' Roll," "Crimson and Clover," and "I Hate Myself For Loving You" plus one previously unreleased track.
15 of Joan's best cuts featuring unreleased versions of "I Hate Myself For Loving You," "Little Liar" and "World Of Denial." Original Mercury Records release (1997) contained Mindengine for use with CD-ROM.
