Dougie Needles Biography

Born and raised in the Lower East Side of NYC. Dougie started playing guitar at eight years old. He grew up on The Who, The Ramones, The Clash and many other punk rock bands. That's what inspired him to play guitar.

"I'm self-taught and don't do anything else. I've spent my life hanging out on street corners and playing in local punk bands, touring in a van. I live to play punk rock and will never do anything else. Punk rock is my life and without it I would rather die. It is the greatest feeling in the world to perform punk rock in a packed club full of punk rock fans."

Dougie is the lead guitarist for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
