Miley Cyrus Declares Her Love for JOAN JETT
from: out.com

low resolution image Not Enlargeable "I'm going to start off this induction with the first time I wanted to have sex with JOAN JETT," Miley told the crowd during her speech for the classic riot grrrl at the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, recorded in April and will be broadcast tonight on HBO.

"We were doing Oprah together, and I go up to Joan's hotel room," Cyrus continued, launching into a story about covering up the smell of pot while sharing a conversation with her own personal Superwoman inside a hotel bathroom. "This was one of the moments in my life where I wanted to be as present [as possible] and absorb everything that she said to me," she recalled.

As a founding member of both The RUNAWAYS and The BLACKHEARTS, as well as the creator of the BLACKHEART RECORDS label, Jett was a long overdue addition to the Hall of Fame, having revolutionized the genre and paved the way for future female music artists through her defiant attitude.

"She's been the first to do many things and not just as a woman, but just as a badass babe on the planet," gushed Miley. "She was also the first major female artist to start her own record label, and that's only because all the other labels said that there wasn't a market for that kind of music."

Jett also has a strong record of supporting the LGBT community, most recently collaborating with Miley on her Happy Hippie project, which provides support for LGBT homeless youth.

"But I do want to say one final story about when I knew that I loved Joan so fucking much," Miley explained. "And this shit kind of fucks me up because it's the day that she was dedicating her time to an upcoming project for my foundation," she added, talking about an idyllic night spent playing with MileyÕs dogs and pig. "I played the Tibetan bowls for her at sunset." Adorbs.

Her adoration clearer than ever, Miley ended her speech with the following statement: "She made the world evolve, her life and her success is proof that we can self-evolve. I want to thank you for fighting for our freedom, Joan, and I love you so much."
