JOAN JETT appears to be enjoying her new Golden God title. The rocker officially received the honor Wednesday night at the 2014 Revolver Golden Gods Awards, where she also took the stage with the BLACKHEARTS to play hits like "Bad Reputation" and "I Hate Myself for Loving You."

The latter included guest vocals from Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen and a brief cameo from ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons.

Comedian Andrew Dice Clay and Nicholas Cage were also on hand at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles to pay tribute to the evening's other honoree, Axl Rose. He picked up the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award, and then performed a lengthy ceremony-closing set with Guns N' Roses that included original bassist Duff McKagan.

As for this year's other award winners, Avenged Sevenfold picked up three trophies for Best Guitarists, Best Drummer, and Most Dedicated Fans. Five Finger Death Punch won Song of the Year for "Lift Me Up," and Black Sabbath took home Album of the Year for "13."

Other highlights included a surprise opening performance from Slayer, who played a brand new song called "Implode."

Zakk Wylde also treated the crowd to a solo performance on the piano instead of his usual guitar, while A Day to Remember, the Pretty Reckless, and Suicide Silence took the stage as well.

"That Metal Show" hosts Eddie Trunk, Don Jamieson, and Jim Florentine served as emcees for the event. An edited version of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards ceremony is set to air May 24th on VH1 Classic.
