low resolution image Not Enlargeable JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS closed the first night of the Isle Of Wight Festival tonight (June 10) with a classics-packed show in the Big Top tent.

The legendary rocker started her only scheduled UK show of the year shortly before midnight. Jett -- in red sequinned trousers and black vest top -- played songs from across a career which has spanned five decades.

Jett and her band treated the up-for-it crowd to 'Cherry Bomb' and 'I Love Rock'n'Roll' as well as her famous covers of Gary Glitter's 'Do You Wanna Touch Me' and Tommy James and the Shondells' 'Crimson and Clover'. They also performed a version of Sly And The Family Stone's 'Everyday People' and The Stooges' 'I Wanna Be Your Dog', perhaps in tribute to Saturday night's scheduled slot from Iggy And The Stooges at the festival.

JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS played:
'Change The World'
'Cherry Bomb'
'Do You Wanna Touch Me'
'Bad Reputation'
'Androgynous'
'You Drive Me Wild'
'Fetish'
'The French Song'
'Love Is Pain'
'Naked'
'Fake Friends'
'School Days'
'I Wanna Be Your Dog'
'I Love Rock'n'Roll'
'Crimson and Clover'
'I Hate Myself For Loving You'
'ACDC'
