JOAN JETT set for Emerald Queen Show
from: Tribnet.com

She started out as a Runaway and ended up one of the stars of rock.

JOAN JETT - born Joan Larkin and known to some as "the girl Elvis" - will perform with her band, the BLACKHEARTS, at the Emerald Queen Saturday night.

Expect to be rocked by hard-hitting tunes such as "Cherry Bomb," "I Love Rock 'N Roll" and "Do Ya Wanna Touch Me?"

But if you thought Jett, 42, faded into the sunset with those '80s hits, you haven't been paying attention.

She performed on Broadway in 2000-2001 in a revival of "The Rocky Horror Show." And she and the BLACKHEARTS released "Fetish," an album of new material, in 1999.
