Blackheart Product Manager, Danny Solazzi (also the lead singer of Blackheart Recording Artist The Characters) answers some of your questions.

Q: I noticed that "1979" is now available in record stores. Will the "Cherry Bomb" fan club disc ever be available in stores?
A: It's true, we just released "1979" to retailers. The disc is still available through the fan club for $10.00. Will "Cherry Bomb" be available in stores. . .NO! Only a limited number of discs were manufactured and production on the disc has been discontinued. The disc is and will only be available to people who join the fan club in 1996 or while limited supplies last. "Cherry Bomb" is going to become a highly collectable disc! Additional copies of "Cherry Bomb" are available to fan club members only for $12.00 each.

Q: Is the track "Love Stinks" from the Mr. Wrong soundtrack an outtake from The Hit List?
A: No. The producers of the Ellen Degeneres movie specifically requested Joan Jett and the Blackhearts to record the song. Recording took place in December, 1995 at A&M Studios in Los Angeles while Joan was touring with Evil Stig. This track marks the first performance of new Blackhearts bassist, Sean Ray Koos. Joining The Blackhearts in the studio on handclaps and gang vocals is Matt Dresdner, Steve Moriarty and Joe Spleen of Evil Stig/Dancing French Liberals of '48 and Danny Solazzi from The Characters.

Q: Could you provide us with more information on the recording of "The Theme from the Mary Tyler Moore Show?"
A: The song is actually entitled "Love Is All Around" (The Theme from the Mary Tyler Moore Show). ESPN requested that Joan Jett and the Blackhearts record a 60 second version of the song for a television promotional spot for the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. The song was recorded in January during the Blizzard of '96 in New York. Several influential radio stations have requested copies of the song and added it to their playlist. A longer version of the 60 second track was requested and in mid-March, The Blackhearts did additional recording to lengthen the track.

Q: I've got a question concerning the I Love Rock 'N' Roll album. Was the version with "Little Drummer Boy" on it widely released or is my copy rare?
A: Approximately 800,000 copies of the album were sold before "Little Drummer Boy" was replaced with "Oh Woe Is Me." To date over 10 million copies of the album have been sold worldwide!

Q: How many albums are available on Blackheart Records?
A: Their are seven Joan Jett releases -- Bad Reputation, I Love Rock 'N' Roll, Album, Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth, Flashback, 1979 and Cherry Bomb. Other Blackheart releases include, The Characters self-titled debut release, Metal Church -- Hanging In The Balance, Beserkley's Best, Red Henry -- Gravity, Hank -- Are You Insane and 39 Steps -- Neon Bible.

Q: I live in Europe and our video system is PAL, different from the NTSC system in America. Is there any chance Blackheart will release "The Jett Age" and "The Jett Age II" in our format?
A: If enough people write and request it, we may make a small quantity available for our European fans, but we would need enough requests to make it possible.

Q: My copy of the Evil Stig CD has a clear tray. When you take out the CD, there is a picture of the band and an address for the Mia Zapata Investigative fund. I mentioned this to a friend and she said her copy had a dark tray and no picture. What's the deal?
A: Due to a factory oversight, some copies of Evil Stig were sent out with a dark tray. The picture is still there -- just lift out the dark tray from the CD case and the hidden picture will appear.
